The much-advertized hunger for success among the denizens of India’s tier II and tier III cities has been the big story of the past decade. This hunger has rewritten hierarchies, given us new idols, and, most significantly, created new markets and models for the knowledge business that not so long ago was focused almost exclusively on urban centers. How relevant is it to memorize Ampere’s Law, Charles’s Law and the dates of the battles of Panipat in this brave new world?
