"Using a combination of archival and experimental studies, as well as in-depth interviews with senior women, our research suggests that the experience of women in leadership roles tends to be quite different from that of men. In particular, we found evidence for a ‘glass cliff,’ whereby women are more likely to be given much more precarious or risky leadership roles than men."
