On a good day, The Smart Manager receives at least five books for review from some of the world’s most well-known publishers. While we try to cover as many of them as possible in the magazine, we have often felt that we can do more with them. They can provoke so much more conversation, for instance, but for that to happen they need to be put ‘out there’.

Smart Books is thus an attempt to rescue the humble ‘review copy’ from our cluttered desks and give them a little more space to breathe—out here. When this section goes fully live, which will admittedly take some time, you will find contests, reviews, previews, extracts, links to author websites and a spiffy little corner to buy books recommended by us. We have already put some of these in place and will keep you updated as and when more stuff comes online.
