contest. Only one entry per person please.

The winner of the Tata Consultancy Services SMART Manager Case Contest will have
the pleasure of having his/her entry published in The Smart Manager
along with his/her photograph, as well as Rs25000 cash prize and a complimentary
one year subscription to The Smart Manager (6 issues).

|

The submitted entry must be YOUR OWN ORIGINAL work.
|
|
|
|
4.
|
The submitted entry must be limited to 500 words only. No charts, no
illustrations, no graphs please. Simple, straight text only.
|
|
|
|

Entries will be accepted only through the online entry form (not through the
post).
|
|
|
|
6.
|
The Smart Manager may request positive identification as a
bonafide student. It is mandatory for short listed finalists. This
identification can be one of the following:
• Letter from the dean.
• An attested copy of the student I-card.

|

The Smart Manager will notify the winner individually. The
winner will need to send a black & white picture of himself/herself. This will
be published in The Smart Manager. We are sorry but we cannot
return photographs unless accompanied by a self-addressed stamped envelope. The
winner's name, insight and institute/ organization will be announced on
The Smart Manager
website shortly after the winner is selected.

Registration is compulsory. Please make sure you have entered every field
correctly so that we can inform you if you have won and also to send you a
complimentary copy of The Smart Manager issue in which your
entry appears, as well as your subscription and prize money. Incorrect entries
or incomplete registration invalidates your submission.

Correct entries will be ranked by a panel of judges named by The Smart
Manager. The decision of the judges will be final and binding. No
correspondence in this regard will be entertained.

The Smart Manager reserves the right to use the submissions
received through the contest in any manner at its sole discretion.

11.
|
No entry fee or purchase of The Smart Manager is required to
enter the Tata Consultancy Services SMART Manager Case Contest.

Employees of The Smart Manager Media Pvt Ltd, Tata Consultancy Services and
sister concerns and their family members are welcome to submit entries but are
not eligible to win prizes in the Tata Consultancy Services SMART Manager Case
Contest.

|
All disputes are subject to Mumbai jurisdiction.

|

14.
|
The Smart Manager reserves the right to amend or discontinue
this contest without prior notification.

I am pleased to submit my article for publication in The Smart Manager and
http://thesmartmanager.com/default.aspx.
Whereas I desire to have the Contribution published in The Smart Manager
and www.thesmartmanager.com and whereas the Magazine and Website, named above,
undertakes to publish the Contribution, I therefore now grant and assign the
entire copyright for the Contribution to The Smart Manager for
its exclusive use. The copyright consists of any and all rights of whatever kind
or nature now or hereafter protected by the copyright laws of India and of all
foreign countries, in all languages and forms of communication, and The
Smart Manager shall be the sole proprietor thereof. The Smart
Manager, in turn grants me the right to reprint the Contribution in any
book of which I am the author or editor, subject to my giving proper credit in
the book to the original publication of the Contribution in The Smart
Manager. To protect the copyright in the Contribution, the original
copyright notice as it appears in The Smart Manager
should be included in the credit.
Warranty
I warrant that the Contribution is original with me; that it contains no matter
which is defamatory or is otherwise unlawful or which invades individual privacy
or infringes any proprietary right or any statutory copyright; and I agree to
indemnify and hold The Smart Manager harmless against any claim
to the contrary. Further, I warrant that I have the right to assign the
copyright to The Smart Manager and that no portion of the
copyright to the Contribution has been assigned previously.
Previous Publication & Permission
I warrant that the Contribution has not been published elsewhere in whole or in
part and that no agreement to publish is outstanding. Should the Contribution
contain material, which requires written permission for inclusion in the
Contribution, I shall obtain such permission at my own expense from the
copyright proprietor and submit it for review to the editor of The Smart
Manager with the manuscript.
Editorial Changes & Revisions
The Editor and Publisher of The Smart Manager has the right to
make any revision to the Contribution which they may deem desirable in the
uniformity and style of the Magazine and the Website.
Compensation
I understand and accept that I will receive no monetary compensation for the
assignment of copyright from The Smart Manager, and publication
of the Contribution in the Magazine and on the Website.
